What is UTAP?
UTAP is a training benefit for NTUC members to defray their cost of training. This benefit is to encourage more NTUC members to go for skills upgrading.
NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded^ course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP.
Which courses are eligible for this funding?

Who is eligible for UTAP funding?
As long as you are an NTUC member, you can apply for UTAP. However, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Paid-up union membership before course commenced, throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim.
- Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period.
- Course must not be funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding.
- You must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any.
- UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course end date.
- For claim purpose. you may be required to submit relevant documents such as course fee receipt and certificate.
How can I apply for UTAP?

On the lower part of the course page, click on ‘For NTUC members- UTAP funding” and follow the steps to make payment.
Step 3
- You will receive course login details from APACSMA Education Team.
- Follow the below claim process on how to claim the UTAP funding after completion of your course.
How to claim?
Login to U Portal account to submit your claim application. NTUC Members should submit their UTAP claim within 6 months from the course end date. Late claims applications will be rejected.
When can I receive my claims?
If you have completed your claim successfully and fulfilled the claim criteria, you should receive your claim(s) in 4 to 6 weeks after the submission of the relevant information, either by cheque or GIRO.
For audit purpose, you may be required to submit relevant documents such as course fee receipt, certificate etc as and when requested by NTUC. Failure to do so may result in claim delay, or rejection.
